Mixed media collage

12 × 9 inches

More Info:

I created this piece while trying to connect two very different worlds into one cohesive image.

BIo:

Sashia Dumont is a filmmaker and mixed media artist based out the lower Hudson Valley. Her tactile, layered compositions explore the intersection of history and modern craft, utilizing diverse materials to transform forgotten archives into new physical dimensions.

Statement:

As a mixed media collage artist, I blend vintage paper clippings with tactile elements to create multidimensional, texture-rich narratives. I carefully select and arrange historical imagery and archives into modern compositions. My work focuses on repurposing analog fragments to give forgotten materials a second life through collage.
