Bio:

My personal imagery has always been to explore the fluid boundaries between representational and abstraction, discovering what is worth looking at. I have had several one-person exhibits at Upstream Gallery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and have participated in group shows at Arbor Gallery, and with the Peekskill Arts Alliance. I am represented by fineartamerica.com and SaatchiArt.com. Many of my works reside in public and private collections.

Statement:

I have become immersed in amplifying fragments of Hieronymus Bosch’s ”Garden of Earthly Delights” as a source of inspiration, and I am motivated by the endless possibilities of internalizing his work from a 21st century perspective. When closely examining this very detailed, symbol laden Garden of Eden, I am drawn to the fascinating fragments that I then isolate and slightly modify to become complete compositions in themselves. In a sense, this allows for all the myriad sub plots to shine as they now become separate paintings. This is an opportunity to explore the cryptic and improvised organic constructions that truly border on the fantastic.
