The strength of the man’s face is contrasted with the blankness of the eyes , which were used upside down to emphasize the strangeness.
Bio:
Georgine Honohan received a BA in Fine Art from Marymount Manhattan College. She worked as an Art teacher for several years at St, Mary’s in Katonah and St. Patrick’s in Bedford, then for over twenty years as an Interior Designer at Ethan Allen in Danbury,CT. She has exhibited her Art work at Ridgefield Guild of Art, Beacon Artist Union, Hendricks Hudson Library, Mahopac Public Library, The School House, The Katonah Library, Putnam Arts Council, and the Howland Center in Beacon, and At Arbor Gallery in Carmel,N.Y.
Statement:
I am a Watercolorist and a Daily sketcher. Watercolor is a medium that enables me to capture what I see around me. My daily sketching frequently involves drawing faces and that has led to the collages offered for this exhibit.
