I want my work to give viewers a chance to escape reality and see something unknown. When creating, I think about how seeing something totally new can lead to a trance of discovery. I want these works to spark the viewer's curiosity and ultimately present them with objects in which they have never seen or had a connection to before. Giving them the chance to open their mind and shift their perspective into the unknown around us.
Jessy Dunn
Jessy has been into photography since an early age taking photos with disposable cameras. In high school she got her first 35mm camera & just kept shooting. In her 30's college finally called. She enrolled at SVA in Manhattan & 4 years later graduated with high honors & her BFA. She took all she learned there & got a gig at a high-volume portrait studio in California. All was well but Jessy was homesick. She missed New York. So, she came home.
Back home Jessy tried "corporate life" & worked for JCPenney Portraits for the holidays. It started off as a part time seasonal gig and turned into a management position. That is where she learned more about marketing and sales. After a few years, Jessy realized she missed being her own boss.
So, Jessy Dunn has returned to her own studio super excited to spread her wings!

Mark Fraser-Betts
Mark Fraser-Betts creates art that blends abstract expressionism with vintage pop art-esque magazine covers and adverts. Lately, his work has explored reconstruction, spirituality, and American history. Larger paintings contain the marks found on the vintage covers on unprimed canvas. Influenced by a variety of painters and unconsciously referencing different types of historical mark- making, most of his works take months to create, although occasionally he completes them in one sitting. The artist is interested in examining both America from an outsider's perspective and the history of painting that has developed around it. His previous works have explored themes such as loss, distance, and
time.

Rebecca Dunn
Rebecca has been experimenting creatively for as long she I can remember and with more mediums than she can recall with everything from, cement sculptures, watercolors, duct tape, oil paints, charcoal, melted crayons, spray paint, refinishing furniture, and then when she finally landed on encaustics, it felt like a new high she had never experienced before. Wax has this draw to it because of its seemingly infinite possibilities, its uniqueness and unmanageability. Encaustics have a mind of their own that she cannot control which leads to its own challenges, while that can be frustrating, the results are beautifully their own and always a surprise.
