Therese Fokine
(Terry) I have been painting and creating for about 30 years. I primarily work in oils on canvas but also work with pastels, charcoal and acrylics and watercolors. I have painted on multiple surfaces from walls to rocks, including shells and furniture. I usually is attracted to painting landscapes and people, plein air and still life that are
colorful. My emotions toward creating are “If you like looking at something you can take a photo of it and enjoy that. When you paint it, or draw it, you become part of it. You feel and see where the folds are or the feel the texture of the fabric, or the emotion the people in your work are feeling.” “When someone trust you enough to create from their photo or person, you get to know that person, Or their vision. This is the ultimate compliment.”

Aurora Kilai
Over 40 years ago, I trained in Reiki and felt the depth of the vibrations of light for healing and illumination. From there I explored the vibrations of consciousness in the body, training in different healing modalities. I continued my exploration of the healing frequencies of consciousness in flower essences, in sound, in water, in rocks and minerals and in nature. A few years ago, I began to explore the vibrations of color with different media. I felt guided to play with color in abstract creations. More recently, I have discovered that fluid acrylics allows me to relax into the flow of colors' vibrations as I let my heart's wisdom co-create with them on the canvas.
Jennifer Maher
I’m Jenn Maher—a Soulful Prosperity Coach, and now visual artist. After overcoming addiction, trauma, and the complete loss of my business, savings and income at 51, I rebuilt my life with nothing but grit, vision, and faith. Today, I coach leaders and creatives to build aligned lives and businesses rooted in clarity, power, and purpose. I live a minimalist, digital nomad lifestyle and capture moments that reflect the beauty and resilience I’ve fought for. My photography, like my coaching, is about real life—raw, honest, and full of meaning. I don’t create to impress. I create to remind people who they are and what’s possible when they choose to rise.

Georgine Honohan
I am a watercolorist and I am a daily sketcher. Watercolor is a medium that enables me to capture what I discover around me. It is portable, meditative, and full of controlled surprises. The transparency of this medium can capture depth with layers. The flow of
the watercolor shows off the fluidity of nature The light of the paper showing through lends a freshness to my paintings. Watercolor is a constant challenge that absorbs me on a daily basis.
Drawing/sketching is an important part of my daily art. It allows seeing deeply the edgesand shadows and shapes that help me see form. Handmade sketch books travel with me constantly.
Composition is ultimately the force that holds it all together. Line, color, and value are at the forefront of my mind when I begin a watercolor painting. It is through daily sketching and watercolor painting that I am engaged with the world around me.

Steven Markus
Much of my artwork has been inspired by my lifelong love of the outdoors and my travels in the west, particularly to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National parks. My travels west began in 1998 with my first wildlife and landscape painting workshop sponsored by the Daniel Smith company. I enjoyed my first trip so much I returned there for additional workshops in 1999 and 2000. Working in oils, I enjoy the challenge of plein air painting as well as studio work and I’m an active member in the Ridgefield Guild of Artists.
Jerry Michalak
Jerry Michalak is a Hudson Valley painter whose practice bridges observation and abstraction, exploring the quiet transformation of landscape through time. Michalak has developed a distinct series of abstract winter landscapes, particularly wooded scenes rendered in restrained palettes. These works echo composer John Cage’s idea that “There’s not enough nothing in it,” inviting viewers into a contemplative space where visibility dissolves and form gives way to atmosphere. For this exhibit he has chosen a theme of "The Vanishing Wilderness", which explores environmental fragility through a softened palette and weathered textures. Across these bodies of work, Michalak captures not just the changing landscape, but the fleeting emotional and sensory impressions it leaves behind.
Kitty OCallaghan
My visual language is one of collective memory. Using light, color, and scale, I explore familiar spaces, everyday objects, and landscapes that communicate a strong narrative sense and atmosphere. I work in oils and acrylics, oil pastels, encaustic, and fiber. Whatever the medium, I believe that art acts as the intercessor, transmitting a reality beyond what I can depict.

Her inspiration is fed by her emotions, her surroundings, and the unpredictable direction of her brush strokes.

James Sparks
I have been an art educator and painter for almost fifty years teaching studio art, photography and art history at the university level.
Currently, I am retired as an Adjunct Professor of Art at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York (since 2002). My teaching approach has always been to emphasize the multi- disciplinary nature of the creative process to cognitive philosophy, psychology and, really, to all the humanities. Put more simply, stressing cognitive science as a portal into the origins of artistic creativity from an evolutionary perspective. My personal imagery has always been to explore the fluid boundaries between representational and abstraction in Nature, discovering a new awareness and appreciation of beauty and what is worth looking at.
